RLC Annual Thanksgiving Food Drive!

Our Dolphins are making waves of kindness!
From November 3rd–18th, Round Lake Charter will be collecting food items to help local families in need this holiday season and support Lake Cares Food Bank.

Each grade level has been assigned specific items to bring in. Every donation helps us build full meals and teach our students the power of compassion and giving back.

Incoming Kindergarten (ONLY)
• Applications open: Monday, November 3, 2025 at 8:00 a.m.
• Applications close: Wednesday, December 31, 2025
• Lottery conducted: Week of January 5, 2026
• Notification to selected families: Week of January 12, 2026

International Week at Round Lake Charter!
We’re excited to celebrate the many cultures that make our world so vibrant during International Week, October 14–17! Each day, students will enjoy delicious dishes inspired by different countries. From Mexico’s taco bar and Italy’s pizza with Caesar salad to Asian-inspired favorites and a classic American cookout. This week is a wonderful way for our Dolphins to explore global flavors while learning about the diversity that connects us all.

Pre-K–5th Grade Families,

We are excited to share that Kona Ice will be visiting Round Lake Charter School on Friday, October 10, 2025, from 10:45 AM – 2:30 PM! Students will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing Kona Ice treat after lunch.

Meet the Teacher August 7th

We are excited to announce that registration will open June 16, 2025 for RLC+, our Before School and Aftercare Program, for the upcoming school year, 2025-2026. Our aftercare program offers a safe, supportive, and engaging environment where students can complete homework, enjoy fun activities, and build lasting friendships—all under the supervision of our dedicated staff. Program Highlights:  Homework assistance and academic support  Enriching activities including arts, games, and outdoor play  Snacks provided daily  Flexible pick-up times between 2:45pm-6pm, Wednesdays 1:45pm-6pm  Morning Care as low as $5 per day  Afternoon Care as low as $12 per day Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to register early to secure your child’s spot. We’re excited to share that RLC is giving the Café a fresh new look — and we’d love for you to be part of the transformation! As we kick off this makeover project, we’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help bring our vision to life. Do you have a knack for design, a talent for painting, an eye for décor, or just a few hours to spare? Whether you can offer your time, creativity, ideas, or supplies, we’d love to have you on board! Your involvement, big or small, will help make our cafeteria a fun and exciting place for students and staff at RLC! Sending a HUGE shout of thanks and gratitude to Carter’s Ace Hardware for their generous pine bark mulch donation! RLC's middle school environmental stewardship elective's “grocery row garden” was completely overrun with weeds this spring. To combat this issue, the students collected boxes on campus, broke them down, removed the tape, and covered the weeds. Then they spread a 3” thick layer of mulch over the cardboard, using 90 bags in total!  This herbicide-free organic method smothers the weeds and lets the good soil microbes flourish. Now the garden beds will be ready for new vegetables in the fall. The grocery row garden is a concept popularized by “David the Good,” and is basically a food forest in a controlled garden setting.
